| i wish things were simple. it seems that so many things that have meaning and depth in this world are just so complicated.

| today is the worst day at work i have ever had. and its not even close to over yet. -.- it seems that today everyone in the world decided to get a drink at steamers right when i got in. i normally wouldnt mind this. but today however we just got a new espresso machine and i needed to learn how to use it. gosh. and then for some reason, all the clumsy people decided to come into steamers today, every 10 minutes a customer spilled something. yay. on top of all of this. i burned my hand badly, but of course, we have no more burn oinment left in our first aid kit. awesome. | | |
| So i start my classes tomorrow. 8:50. Atleast i dont have a 7:15. i didnt take winter intersession so ive had more than enough break. im sick of it. all i need to do now is focus on keeping school above work. last semester i screwed myself over cuz i thought i could freakin be superman and do my homework in my sleep or something. and crap did it burn me out fast. so. i will not work too much. make sure i dont.

| now normally i do not answer these because generally speaking i usually find them to be not very interesting or unimportant. however sometimes mildly entertaining. however this particular question is one of greater weight atleast in my eyes. a question such as this shows how hopeless we are as a generation. (by hopeless i dont mean bad, i just mean quite literally we are a generation with no hope.) we have lost hope in so many things.
we have lost hope in our families- there are so many of us torn apart by broken homes, parents whom have left, rejection from our own families
we have lost hope in this world- it seems that violence is rampant in our cities as well as abroad, and there is always some war to be fought for some cause that noone is really sure about.
we have lost hope in love- we dont even know how to love, where are the role models for such a thing, too many people look at hollywood and think thats how to live
we have lost hope in our faith- whatever our faith may be, we dont want to believe in it, we either par take in it because of our parents or the fire it once put in us has simply burned out
it frightens me sometimes to see the lack of hope that people have these days. if you are wothout hope then what is there to live for? the greatest things that people have ever achieved all started with hope. hope that change is possible. so do i believe a person can change? YES. because i have hope.
if a person cannot change how does a sober person become an addict?? how does the addict become sober?
if a person cannot change then how do enemies become friends? and how do friends become enemies?
everything is always changing. including people.

| wow. today i had the most fun i have had in quite a while. and i didnt really do anything. when the plan anthony and i had fell through. we decided to just hang out anyway. went to roscoes for the first time in forever. i forgot how great it is. sadly we missed our movie, but i guess ill just catch it some other time. so instead we walked around old town just talking about movies and whatever else we came across. a good time to say the least. i forgot how much fun it is to just walk around and do nothing. so often it feels like if im not doing something, then i cant have fun, but today reminded me that doing nothing at all is often the most satisfying. having fun doing nothing is a rewarding experience. people need to learn how to grasp this concept.
